Experience the 1880 farmhouse decorated for Christmas as you learn about the Johnson Family and their farm. Guided tours of the historic farmhouse decorated for Christmas will be available at 10:30 am each day, reservations are required. The house will be open for self-guided tours each day from 1-3:00 pm. Peppermint Bear will take you on a fun-filled bear hunt through downtown Hendersonville looking for her cubs. The scavenger hunt goes on from November 27 through December 23, 2020. Peppermint needed help with decorating the bear den, so she sent her cubs to find some Christmas decorations. Peppermint needs your help! Join the search party in tracking down Peppermint’s cubs, so they are home by Christmas. Federal and state-mandated guidelines for social distancing will be followed. Experience the 1880 farmhouse decorated for Christmas as you learn about the Johnson Family and their farm. Guided tours of the historic farmhouse decorated for Christmas will be available at 10:30 am each day, reservations are required. The house will be open for self-guided tours each day from 1-3:00 pm. Hot chocolate will be available as well as a Christmas craft for those interested. Santa will be at Carolina Ace Hardware for a FREE picture in their annual public Christmas display. Carolina Ace Hardware wants everyone to feel safe, including Santa, so we will have to maintain social distancing from Santa, but the pictures will go on! Since 1997, Santa has visited Chimney Rock to train for his big night of deliveries. There’s no way Santa could make it down so many chimneys without practice. Two Holiday Farmers Markets will bring seasonal, farm-fresh products and locally made artisan crafts. Hosted by the Hendersonville Farmers Market, the Holiday Markets will take place outdoors on November 28 and December 5 from 9 am until 1 pm at the Historic Train Depot in the Seventh Avenue District. Marketgoers will find their favorite regular season vendors from Hendersonville Farmers Market offering seasonal food products, baked goods, and more, in addition to a plethora of handmade artisan crafts. Live music entertainment will be provided by Apple Country String Band at both events. Historic Train Depot – 650 Maple Street – 8 AM – 1 PM – 828-233-3216 

In addition to the Holiday Markets, downtown Hendersonville merchants will be promoting Small Business Saturday on November 28, and on December 5 Main Street businesses will celebrate with a holiday-themed “Whoo Loves Hendo” closed-street event.

The Holiday Greenery Sale features premium, freshly-cut Fraser fir trees ranging in height from five to eight feet. These native trees come from the Western North Carolina mountains and are wrapped for protection during transport. Also available are premium garlands in a 25-foot length, plus unadorned 12-inch wreaths. Holiday greenery must be ordered by Tuesday, Nov. 24.
