3rd Annual New Year’s Eve celebration at the Historic Courthouse includes family celebration at 6 PM featuring a Greenwich Mean Time countdown to midnight London time at 7 PM; Apple Rise ceremonies start at 11 PM – noisemakers, glow sticks and hot beverages will be given out while supplies last – DJ plays top hits of 2018 as you celebrate the New Year – warming stations, cornhole and giant jenga games.

28th Annual Tree of Lights and Luminaries

Join us for hot cider, homemade cookies and heartwarming music as we remember departed loved ones through the Tree of Lights and Luminary Memorial Ceremony. The Land O’ Sky Garden Club presents their annual Christmas Bazaar, featuring all handmade, original and all-natural items, including evergreens, pine cone and magnolia garland, mixed greenery wreaths, fresh greenery hanging baskets, aprons, sachets, ornaments, baked goods, jellies, assorted handmade gifts, vintage gift tags, and much more!

Saturday, December 1 from 9am-6pm, and Sunday, December 2 from 11am-4pm.

 

Proceeds of this event benefit the Land O’ Sky Garden Club Scholarship Fund.

 

 

Santa on the Chimney & Breakfast with his Elves

Start the day with Mrs. Claus and Santa’s elves for a magical Christmas breakfast at Old Rock Café (located at 431 Main St, Chimney Rock, NC) before seeing Santa on the Chimney. Kids can order a variety of Christmas-themed breakfast items, enjoy holiday music, hot cocoa and write or draw their list for Santa. Mrs. Claus will share her favorite Christmas story as a special treat at 10am and Santa’s elves will be stopping by tables during the breakfast to chat with kids. 13th Annual Gingerbread Cookie Contest Winners on Display

Winners of the Annual Gingerbread Cookie Contest will be on display now through Christmas, come check them out!

The cookies are 100% edible, and winners were selected in four categories: “Traditional,” “Unusual,” “Teamwork” and “Bakers under 13.” (Deadline for entries was November 24.)
