Bullington Gardens Fall Plant Sale
September 7 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 9:00 am, repeating until September 7, 2019
Bullington Gardens, a horticultural education center and public gardens, will hold its annual fall plant sale on Friday, Sept. 6 and Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, rain or shine.
The sale features many fall-blooming perennials, mums, asters, shrubs and native plants. The event also includes a Garden Shed sale of gently-used gardening tools, decorative pots, garden furniture, yard art and books. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. Fall is the ideal time to plant perennials, trees and shrubs. The weather is cool but the soil is still warm which encourages excellent root growth without stimulating flowering that comes with spring planting,
All proceeds from the plant and Garden Shed sale benefit Bullington’s mission to connect children and adults with the natural world through science-based horticultural education; to demonstrate the beauty and value of native and ornamental plants through themed public gardens; and to enhance life skills for children and adults with physical or mental challenges through horticultural therapy.
