The summer season gets into full swing with three very different outdoor concert series held at the Visitor Center located in Downtown Hendersonville, at 201 South Main Street.
Experience an array of talented musical artists on a pleasant summer evening at the Monday Night Live! concert series. This year’s concert series features an eclectic line-up of Celtic, Latin, blues, and honky-tonk. The free live performances happen every night Monday night from June 5 – 26.
Thousands of people flock to the Music on Main Street to hear some the region’s finest bands. The concerts are held every Friday evening from June 9 through August 18 at 7pm. Music on Main Street features a diverse line-up ranging from pop, oldies, rock, to contemporary music – there’s something for every musical taste! The family friendly event offers concessions such as: hot dogs, ice cream, pretzels, and lemonade for sale. Cars shows are held every evening in conjunction with Music on Main Street. The car shows alternate between classic cars and Corvette nights. The car shows are located in front of the Visitors Center, between Allen Street and Caswell Street, which will be closed to traffic.
Music on Main Street presents a Special Fireworks Celebration Concert on Tuesday, July 4th, featuring West Sound. Henderson County will launch an Independence Day fireworks display at sundown. The launch site will ensure premier viewing of the display from downtown Hendersonville and the Music on Main Street concert area. Enjoy the concert and fireworks from the comfort of your chair at Music on Main Street from 7:00-9:30pm.
The Street Dances is a Hendersonville tradition that started in 1918 when the citizens of Hendersonville took to the street to welcome home the soldiers from WWI. People young and old make their way to the Visitor Center at 201 South Main Street in Historic Downtown Hendersonville to enjoy mountain heritage bluegrass music, square dancing and clogging every Monday evening from July 10 through August 14.,The Street Dance comes alive with people square dancing and clogging to regional bands playing traditional bluegrass music. Bring a chair and enjoy an evening of live music. The concerts are free and held from 7pm-9pm. The audience seating area opens after 5:30pm, early admission is prohibited. Please leave your pets comfortably at home, Hendersonville City ordinance prohibits animals in the event area. Admission is free. No alcoholic beverages, backpacks, or coolers allowed.
In case of inclement weather the concert will be postponed until 8pm. If the weather does not improve by 8pm the performance will be cancelled.
